SoftBank Introduces ‘Unlimited Packet Discount 2’
TOKYO, April 28, 2009 --- SOFTBANK MOBILE Corp. (hereafter ‘SOFTBANK MOBILE’) announced that it will introduce ‘Unlimited Packet Discount 2 (tentative name),’ a packet flat-rate service with a minimum monthly charge of 490 yen, within July 2009. This service is announced upon the announcement of new service by NTT DOCOMO, INC (hereafter ‘NTT DOCOMO’) within 24 hours as a competitive plan.
Unlimited Packet Discount 2 (tentative name) requires sending/retrieving mail charges in the same way as the service of NTT DOCOMO.
SOFTBANK MOBILE continues to provide current ‘Unlimited Packet Discount’ as before.
In addition, in conjunction with the introduction of this packet flat-rate service, mail exchange between members of the same group on ‘White Plan Family Discount 24’ or on ‘White Plan Corporate Discount 24’ will be free of charge including the function of ‘Large File Attachment.’
